Playwrights know that a play is never really "finished" until it has had its first production. I generally have several scripts that are awaiting this crucial first production. Should you be the first, the benefit to me is that I get a chance to see the play in production and tweak whatever needs tweaking prior to publication. The benefits to you and your students are the opportunity to participate in the developmental process and to be listed in the eventual published version (if any) as the original cast. Plus, I'll provide the rights to the first production royalty free. To see a list of plays currently available for premier, CLICK HERE.

The award goes to the playwright, although production of the play is also taken into account. In the case of a musical being awarded the prize, the composer, lyricist and book writer are generally the recipients. An exception to this was the first Pulitzer ever awarded to a musical: when Of Thee I Sing won in 1932, book authors George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, as well as lyricist Ira Gershwin, were cited as the winners, while composer George Gershwin's contribution was overlooked by the committee. The reason given was that the Pulitzer Prize for Drama is a dramatic award, and not a musical one. However, by 1950 the Pulitzer committee included composer Richard Rodgers as a recipient when South Pacific won the award, in recognition of music as an integral and important part of the theatrical experience. A educator does his duty following the guidelines or by following his lessons learnt from his life , unless one can recognise there is importance of its own which is either known to human or not to everything in this essential to fulfill its own role in their own life, as we moulded own needs and greed and we name it evolution we just have to believe the laws of nature which are long learnt by every living being to protect nature, there is always a middle way to which dosent take take toll on both the sides that is very much acceptable to everyone
